ADF: Prologue

On the planet of Handore there exists an advanced society. For many years piece ruled over the planet. Then a new and ancient menace appeared. Awaken from the deaths of the planet where they slumbered, beasts and demons like none the people had ever seen began to appear. All of their advanced technology and weapon were useless against the demons. It looked as if the world they had built was coming to an end. Then the Animech's were discovered. Powerful living machines built by the Ancients to combat the demons. A specialized organization, the Animech Defense Force, was formed to combat the beasts and demons using the Animechs, and a headquarters was built in their capitol city. A hunt was made for pilots. The militaries and governments naturally started searching their own men and women for pilots. Their search was extensive picking the best they had, but to no avail. Eventually a pilot was found, and then more. More Animechs were discovered and a few pilots to pilot them. With a small team of Animechs active the Animech Defense Force (ADF) began to take back some of the lands. But though they have the tools to battle the demons, their numbers are small. Large plots of land still remain unprotected. Just a few small villages and cities surround the capital, within the area the ADF is capable of adequately defending. The ADF now has thirteen Animech's in their possession, but only seven accepted pilots. And so the Animech Technogists, scientists studying the technology of the ancients and the Animechs hunt for the key to Animech Pilots in an attempt to establish a better method of pilot section than simply relying on random chance as they have been.
